With users and designers developing interactive designs it is essential to include interactive design elements that will attract users to the interface. Veerle is a Belgium graphic/web designer that has interactive design blog, where she shares essential information and tutorials on anything in relation with design. Thus with every interactive design, users and designers should consider having design elements such as animated gifs in their interfaces. Animated gifs attracts other users towards viewing content and as well is acts a significant tool when designing an interface that’s instructional. Animated gifs can be used to demonstrate steps of a “how to” process to clearly convey to users what needs to be done in the particular steps. Through users and designers using design elements such as animated gifs, allows clarity and attracts users towards viewing the content that is displayed in their interface project.

Week 5: Class Work

In today’s studio session, we started with an activity where we would create a mood board for a hypothetical user persona.  After that introduction, we then moved on to creating our own user personas for our assessment 2 using the program Xtensio.
